Oppose any watering down of Labor's anti-nuclear commitment
The Howard Government has decided to facilitate uranium sales to China and play a role in the global expansion of nuclear power as a partner of the Bush administration. Therefore, there is an intensive campaign going on to have the Labor Party water down its anti-nuclear commitments. This is led by the embattled uranium industry which has enlisted the support of some important ALP figures.

Sign the petition for womens reproductive rights
The Campaign for Women's Reproductive Rights (CWRR) in Melbourne launched a national petition campaign for reproductive rights. The petition campaign will conclude on International Women's Day (March 8) this year when it will be presented to the federal House of Representatives. CWRR would appreciate your participation by promoting the petition campaign in your networks, gathering signatures and mailing them to the address on the petition by March 1.

Support the Gunns 20 - Support the right to protest in Australia
Tasmanian logging giant Gunns Ltd is suing 20 individuals and organisations to the tune ot $6.3 million in an attempt to silence criticism of their logging practices in Tasmania. If they are successful activists around Australia are fearful that it will set a dangerous precedent allowing corporate practices to remain unchecked and unchallenged.
