MEETING SUMMARY
Dr Pat Ranalds spoke describing her role at the Australian Fair Trade and Investment Network. This introduction brought forward questions and further discussion with key concerns being the:

• power of multinationals .
• power of the WTO .
• irrationality of the current economic system .
• insistence by corporations for self regulation and minimum government intervention .
• need for increased community education in these areas .

Peter Murphy closed the meeting with a brief discussion on the NWtP Conference to be held in July.
